Soil Summit 2026

The third Soil Summit, held on 1 and 2 October 2026, explored current questions surrounding food security, artificial intelligence and the value of healthy soils. The program featured scientific talks, interdisciplinary workshops and cultural formats, with contributions from agricultural scientist Joachim von Braun, sociologist Hartmut Rosa and architect Florian Nagler, among others.

For the first time, the Soil Summit also opened its doors to the public with a subsequent Open House. Highlights included the opening of the exhibition “Earth from Above”, presented in person by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, creative workshops, “Soil to Listen To” and a multimedia caterpillar show. The evening was rounded off by biologist and DJ Dominik Eulberg with his biodiversity show “Prachtliebe und Wunderfakten”, followed by a DJ set.
