Living Laboratory
The Nantesbuch Living Laboratory brings together the applied research and practical work of the soil initiative.
On the 320-hectare Foundation premises, we study natural processes, test innovative approaches and work on issues related to soil, bogs, bodies of water and cultural landscapes.
The Living Laboratory is made up of three central sections: the Nantesbuch site, the Permagarden and selected research and practice projects. Through cooperations with partners from research, practice, art and culture, we develop monitoring programmes and experiments that generate usable knowledge that can be applied to sustainable land usage, society and politics.
