Soil: OurInvisibleAlly
Soil:OurInvisibleAlly is an Interreg Alpine Space project dedicated to sustainable soil management in the Alpine region. Led by the Slovenian Forestry Institute, the project promotes the implementation of sustainable practices at regional, municipal and local levels.
To achieve this, Soil:OurInvisibleAlly brings together existing knowledge with practical experience. Case studies from different regions of the Alpine Space showcase proven approaches to sustainable soil management. Workshops, informational materials and creative educational formats make this knowledge accessible to professionals, multipliers and the wider public.
The Foundation Kunst und Natur is Co-Lead and Communication Lead for the project. Its main responsibilities include external communication as well as artistic and cultural formats that make knowledge about soils accessible, engaging and experiential. One publicly visible outcome is the contribution “Living Soils” to the exhibition Convivium – Food Systems at the Limit at the TUM Architecture Museum in the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, developed by the University of Turin with advisory support from the Foundation Kunst und Natur.
The project is an initiative of the Alpine Soil Partnership, an alliance of stakeholders across the Alpine region committed to sustainable soil management.
